Getting help using tooltips and the What's This? button
A quick way to learn what the Scenario 360 application can do is to
get help about the buttons and menu commands you see in the application
window. To do this, position the mouse pointer over a button or menu command
for a second or two. The name of the item will then pop up in a
small box. Simultaneously, a brief description appears in the status bar
at the bottom of the application window. To quickly display a longer description
of a Scenario 360 toolbar button or menu command, click the What's
This? button
on the ArcMap toolbar,
then click the button or menu item you're interested in.
If your
operating system is not compatible with Windows Help, a Windows notification
will appear. Follow the steps in the notification to install Windows
Help.
Getting help using the Scenario 360 help system
The Scenario 360 help system contains a navigation pane—with Contents, Index, Search, and Glossary tabs—and a topic pane for viewing help topics. Both panes are visible in the viewer at all times, allowing you to keep track of where you are in the Contents structure of the help system. You can move or resize the navigation or topic windows at any time.
The topics in the Scenario 360 help system are organized around the main tasks you want to complete; they also provide the concepts behind the tasks. Use the help Contents to look up general topics and see how they are organized. You can search through the Index by entering keywords that identify your task. Alternatively, use the Search option to find specific words or phrases in the help topics.
Right-click in a help topic to display and use the shortcut menu for printing help or copying text in topics.
You can turn off the highlighting feature for search words by clicking the Options menu at the top of the help window then click Search Highlight Off
