About CommunityViz® Pro Beta

Now that we’ve upgraded to ensure CommunityViz® is compatible with ArcGIS Pro, we officially have a Beta version ready for you to explore, called CommunityViz® Pro or (CViz® Pro) for short.

System requirements: 

• This target version is ArcGIS Pro 3.3 and supports ArcGIS Pro 3.0 – 3.3.
• ArcGIS Pro 2.9 and older are not supported.

This release includes the: 

• Esri Addin
• Backstage tab
• Loading page
• Licensing application

Release Notes: 

• This is the original release of CommunityViz® Pro.
• This is a product migrated from CommunityViz® to support ArcGIS Pro.
• The product is still in the developmental stage and not yet considered stable for a general release.
• This is an ArcGIS Pro Addin.
• This release may encounter issues with large datasets.

Follow the installation instructions below once you have the installation requirements.

Installation Requirements

• Installed ArcGIS Pro 3.0 or higher
• Download the CommunityViz® Pro Installer (.exe file).
• CommunityViz® Pro License ID and Password (provided in your email)

Installation Instructions

1. Install CommunityViz® Pro
   a. Open and Run the CommunityViz® Pro Installer (.exe file).
   b. Follow the How-to guide: Use CViz® Pro Install Wizard to complete the installation process.
   c. Optional: On the “Select Components to Install” page, check the “Scenario 360” option if ArcMap is installed on your system.
2. Activate your CommunityViz® Pro License
   a. Navigate to the Windows application list, find the CommunityViz folder, and open the License Application.
   b. Follow the How-to guide: Activate License within the CViz® Pro Install Wizard instructions to complete the activation process.
3. Verify your License Activation status in ArcGIS Pro
   a. Open the ArcGIS Pro application.
   b. Follow the How-to guide: Use ArcGIS Pro to Verify Your CViz® Pro Active License Status to complete the verification process.

As a Beta Tester, we want to hear from you about:

• Any bugs or issues
• User feedback and experience

If you find a bug, please complete the following steps using our CommunityViz® Support Help Desk.

1. 1. Select “Report an Issue” as the ticket type.
   2. Include the following information in ticket detail pane:
      1. In the ‘Issue Summary‘ Field: Indicate the name of the feature or tool that the bug is impacting.
      2. In the ‘Issue Description’ Field: List out the steps you took before encountering the bug.
      3. In the ‘Attachment’ Section: Attach any screenshots of error messages or screens showing the identified issue or bug you are encountering.
   3. Submit your ticket.
