CommunityViz® and Esri ArcGIS Compatibility Update
CommunityViz® is a plugin for Esri’s ArcGIS software, originally designed for ArcGIS Desktop™ (Basic, Standard, or Advanced) and the ArcMap application.
Important Changes:
- Esri retired ArcGIS Desktop (including ArcMap) and transitioned users to ArcGIS Pro. For additional details, please visit Esri’s Migration Information and Continued Support.
- Our previous release, CommunityViz® v5.2, which supports only ArcGIS Desktop™ (Basic, Standard, or Advanced) versions 10.5, 10.6, 10.7, and 10.8, is now considered a legacy product and is no longer supported.
- Esri stopped selling new ArcGIS Desktop licenses in February 2024. You must have purchased and activated your ArcGIS Desktop (ArcMap) license before this date.
New Development:
- We released a new version of CommunityViz® to support ArcGIS Pro, CViz® Pro .
- While CViz® Pro is now available, some functionality form v5.2 is still in development.
- All main CommunityViz® analysis components are available in CViz® Pro.
- CViz® Pro has an upgraded licensing component and is now part of the ArcGIS Pro UI.
